Periodic puppy pics

Thanksgiving has come and gone. Again. We had a nice quiet day at home, which made it really no different from most every other day. The lamb was delicious as were all the fixin's. As an apéritif, we drank a local demi-sec bubbly. The wine with the meal was a Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau.

The temperature was 0ºC (32ºF) and the grass was frosty. So were Callie's toes, but she didn't mind.

This year's Beaujolais Nouveau doesn't taste like a "new" wine to me. If I didn't know, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between it and a one- or two-year old bottle. And since the grape in Beaujolais is gamay, the principle grape in our own region of the Touraine, it's almost like drinking a local wine.

If you celebrated Thanksgiving, I hope you had a nice one. On to the solstice!

  2. That's a really nice wide angle shot. Callie is looking a little suspicious. Can you read her mind here?

  7. Ah yes, I got to drink and toast Thanksgiving with Beaujolais, too! Georges De Boeuf and it came with someone who hadn't even known I was hoping for it! The clerk at the store reccommended it to him! I was thankful! It was nice, and did taste to me like an early wine.

Brrrr, is right. Did you warm up Callie's toes when you brought her in for her "douche"?
