Today is 14 July, le quatorze juillet, which we Americans call Bastille Day.

Bonne fête !

  1. Thank you for another French history lesson. I didn’t know that I should be saying le quatorze juillet.

  3. I had forgotten this.
One of my first assignements in Psychiatry medical school rotation (for we started on 14 July) was to report back how many people were in the Bastille that fateful day. Spoilers: 7. A few deserved it in my opinion.
