Tarte aux pommes

This one didn't turn out as pretty as most. I think I turned the heat down too early. However, while it looks a little under done, it wasn't, and we ate it up!

Tarte aux pommes.

'Tis the day after Christmas and the English have a name for it. My task for the day is to make a pumpkin pie. I was going to make it yesterday, but I was too lazy. And too full from the holiday meal. Ken has photos on his blog today (click the link on the sidebar).

  1. It is Boxing Day today, Walt....
Tradition had it that it was the day that the Master of the house bestowed gifts to their staff.
And that's a nice looking apple tart!!

  3. Beautifiul apple tarte, and I just love that serving plate. Did you get that in France, or bring it with you from the U.S.?

  4. I wish Ken had the same comment line that you do. Still cannot comment on his blog. The capon and dressing looked delicious and your cranberry chutney sounds just like I make so I know how good that is! Pumpkin pie would have had to wait here, too, if I had a Christmas Dinner like that!

mary, I'll let him know you're still reading. The comment thing is frustrating; there are several blogs I read that I can't comment on.
